He was in the right place at the right time. Competent drummer... but rode on the coat tails of Lennon/McCartney and later actually rode the coat tails of his fellow band mates in Ringo Starr and his All-Starr[sic] Band.

NO. 3: Paul McCartney and George Harrison
McCartney could have easily been higher, but he's had a string of bad albums come out over the years that lowered his standing. Still, kudos to Sir Paul for being in the top 3. Harrison is cemented at number 3 since he's dead and stuff.
